Default Favre finally done?

Quote:
The NFL regular season has been over for less than a week but the speculation over New York Jets quarterback Brett Favre's future has already begun.

Favre said when he spoke to Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum on Monday, he told him "it may be time to look in a different direction" at the quarterback, Peter King of SI.com reported. King spoke to Favre on Friday about his plans.

Favre and the Jets finished the season by losing four of their last five. The skid cost coach Eric Mangini his job.

King said Tannenbaum asked Favre to take his time in thinking about the future.

"I'm going to do like Mike [Tannenbaum] says -- give it a few weeks and make a decision,'' Favre told King.

Favre told King that the Jets' doctors recommended he have arthroscopic surgery to repair his damaged right biceps if he plans to play next season. Favre declined.
Even though Favre has been retiring for years now, I think he's finally done this time.

Irregardless, he'll always be one of the all-time greats!

Take your accomplishments and go home, Farve. You're a Superbowl champ, a record-breaker, needless to say, a no-brainer for Canton. Time to move on.
